Our God is Better

Make no mistake, ours is the one and only true god, now and forever

We have the proof right here in holy scripture revealed only to us

He has obviously let Satan deceive you into your shameful idolatry to test us

In exchange for our belief, he has granted us an exalted status as his chosen people

We have his full dispensation to smite all the infidels using any means at hand

Our highest aspiration is to be his accurate instruments upon this earth

We can let there be no doubt, for he has spoken with us, and with us alone

After the great and holy wars we will turn upon our own splintered rival sects

There is but one true path to heaven and it is known to our faith alone

God has revealed what to eat and to wear and how to deal with our women

Your heathen temples must crumble before the onslaught of our true faith

You are condemned eternally while we shall dwell forever in his presence

There is no god but god and we live in the absolute certainty of his will

We accept your god insofar as we see that he is really our god in disguise

Our shrines are totally sacrosanct but we must urinate freely upon yours

We scorn your false beliefs and feel no pity for your loss of eternal salvation

Our god is far more omnipotent, powerful and merciful than you will ever know

We temporarily tolerate your false beliefs as tests of our loyalty and devotion

Despite our wretched ignorant lives, a great and eternal reward awaits us

Our god bids us stop these awful deeds that you base upon the adoration of false idols

We go forward with god in our hearts, secure in his knowledge and wisdom

We co-opt your god’s ceremonies when we buy him out and shut him down

We spend our lives debating minutiae over which to fight gruesome wars

Our god is the most powerful, all-encompassing and correct of all possible fathers

We talk with him quite personally and he grants us holy dispensation

We go forth without fear inside our maze of impenetrable rationalization

We rest secure in warm knowledge that we alone follow the one true way

Within our hearts he has placed the mighty strength of a righteous faith

Our actions spring directly from the Word, the Word that he has revealed only unto us

Our god is, by our definition, the most merciful, loving, just and wise

All of your misfortunes follow from the implacable will of his divine retribution

Our suffering serves to strengthen our faith in the mystery of his ways

God is great and he inures us to lives of ignorance, poverty and squalor

Our god is better and we prove this by serving him without question

Death to all those unwilling to accept his mercy, wisdom and salvation

We will smite the unbelievers to spread his light throughout the world

All glory is God’s and we see beyond the sores upon our children’s feet

He directs that we look past our poverty to build mighty armies in his name

Our faith is a comforting filter through which we view all the world’s events

The misery of these lives is but the briefest prelude to our eternity in paradise

Every event, discovery and natural wonder is evidence of our god’s glory

We strive that all our actions but further his inscrutable plan for the future

We revel in the martyrdom he grants us through your blasphemous actions

His hand shapes the world in mysterious ways which we need not question or understand

Despite virtuous lives those who know not our god can never dwell in heaven

All those who lived before our prophet never even had a chance at redemption

Our god illuminates our path with righteousness all the days of our lives

We teach our children well that they too shall be his instruments on earth

Though his omnipotence has been revealed, we must choose to accept it

In his name do we pursue what unbelievers falsely deem as senseless slaughter

Despite his eternal glory we must hold a spiteful, petty vigil against all defamations

There is a constant struggle with those who would pervert his message

Our faith demands a purity which rejects denominational interpretation

Your false pride cannot penetrate that great shield provided us by our god

It is our god’s will that you suffer plague, pestilence, earthquakes and floods

We seek his wisdom and understanding even as we strive not to hear you

Our god is bigger than your god and will help us to bludgeon you into submission

God is good and he bids us blow ourselves to pieces in your offensive midst

Your misguided faith would be pitiful if it did not offend great god so much

Unfortunately, we need your sins that we may see the way of true belief

God is love and for that love do we invade your lands and torture you freely

He speaks to us alone with the one true voice you sinfully choose to ignore

Our god is better and we come together to reassure ourselves all the time

God grants us strength to survive your persecution with even stronger faith

Our god will return at the end of the world - which we seek to hasten

You reject the one true way willingly in his pre-ordained tests of our faith

Our god is merciful and loving but calls on us to wreak awful vengeance in his jealousy
